Could offers be coming?

The University of Georgia's annual Dawg Night event was a rousing success in 2011 as the Bulldogs grabbed five commitments in one night.

While the UGA coaching staff is undoubtedly hoping to have that amount of success on the commitment front on Friday, Dawg Night is also an opportunity for the coaches to extend offers to prospects that they intend to recruit down the stretch.

Without confirming the full list of attendees to the event, here are five of the top 2013 prospects attending Dawg Night that could earn an offer with a strong performance.

Trey Johnson (Linebacker, Central Gwinnett) - Johnson is already ranked as the top linebacker in the state of Georgia and is currently committed to Auburn. He is attending Dawg Night for the purpose of spending time with some recruits that he already knows and to possibly earn an offer from the Bulldogs. While Johnson won't be working out during the event, he has put on a significant amount of weight and mass since the last time the Georgia staff saw him, and if the defensive coaches like what they see, they could extend an offer.

Shaun McGee (Linebacker, Brookwood) - McGee has burst onto the scene in the last few months. He attended a camp at Alabama where the Tide offered him based on his performance, then did the exact same thing at Florida immediately afterward. With Chamblee defensive end/outside linebacker Davin Bellamy appearing to be Florida State lean, McGee could be Georgia's next target at outside linebacker with his ability to perhaps contribute at inside linebacker if called upon.

Stacy Thomas (Defensive End, Gulliver Prep, Miami, Fla.) - Thomas fits into UGA's system as an outside linebacker, so that makes him the third player on this list to be listed at the position. Thomas already has an impressive offer list, and should he perform well at the camp, he is another candidate to receive and offer to fill the final remaining outside linebacker position in this class for the Bulldogs.

Cortez Leonard (Safety, Troup) - Leonard is a prospect that UGA is very familiar with, and he attended the Mark Richt Mini Camp last month. It appears as if Leonard could be a bit of a long shot for an offer at this point, but his physicality and instincts make him a prospect that could help any team in a variety of ways. Is this the time that the Bulldogs host the Peach State sleeper and offer? We will most likely know by Saturday morning.

Taj Williams (Wide Receiver, (Lincoln, Tallahassee, Fla.) - Williams has done nothing but impress for the last month. He had a big day at the UGA 7on7 tournament in June, and then exploded at the Rivals100 Five Star Challenge a month later. His teammate, wide receiver Reggie Davis, is a Georgia commit and Williams has the height and speed that the Bulldogs are looking for to fill their final wide receiver slot in this class. He is quite thin at this stage and that is the knock on him, but if he has a big night, he could work his way onto the Georgia's radar.
