Former Indiana offensive tackle Jason Spriggs is returning to the state of Indiana as it was announced that he has signed a deal with the Indianapolis Colts. The veteran offensive tackle was a 2016 second round pick and has played for the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, and most recently the Atlanta Falcons.

Spriggs, who was born in Chicago, Illinois, played high school football at Concord High School in Indiana and was listed as a three star tight end with offers from Indiana, Ball State, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Miami (OH), Northern Illinois, Toledo, and Western Michigan. He would go onto commit to Indiana where he played from 2012-15.

During his time with the Hoosiers he was named Honorable mention All-Big Ten three times before being named Football Writers Association of America first team All-American and second team All-Big Ten in his final year at Indiana. His final season with Indiana was his best statically as he was named team captain and only allowed two sacks in 475 pass attempts.

When his career at Indiana finished up, he had became the fifth first team All-American offensive linemen in program history. In total, Sriggs started 28 consecutive games to begin his career and made 47 starts in 48 games at left tackle.

Since drafted by the Packers in the 2016, Spriggs has recorded 59 games played, 10 starts, and 2 fumble recoveries during his NFL career.
