I'll go with the obvious and say Spain's midfield will dominate. Though Pirlo has been playing great and should be players of the tournament.

You disappeared from that Chelsea discussion a few threads below.  Right after you said they never win anything they reeled off the FA and the Champions.  Oops

Still don't like the way they play or the fact that they started they "buy sucess" mentality. Before they got bought by RA they were a nothing club. Still can't stant Cashley Cole or Terry. They are the "cancer" of their national team. Not as much as Robben (not surprisingly a former Chelsea player) is the "cancer"of of the Dutch and Bayern (if he ever passed to an open teammate, I think I'd have a heart attack from shock). I'll eat crow on that call, though. Especially, if you are talking Crow Suicide! Yummy!

The "Cashley" thing is so stupid.  He sold high on Arsenal stock essentially. What has Arsenal won since he left? What has he won at Chelsea? Exactly.

you are talking about..... The guy has less of an education than the average UK player, has a major attitude problem, and admitted the ONLY reason he moved to Chelsea was the money. Not to mention the Chelsea cheating on your incredibly hot wife trend. The admission of leaving only for the money was what lead to the Cashley name, as he admitted trophies had nothing to do with it. Just for the record, what had Chelsea won, at the time of that move? They started the trend of buying championships. At least Terry was actually a product of their youth system. Though the guy is a total @$$, (marital and racist problems being the main thing) I have repect for the way he plays the game, and his loyalty to his team.

They were the reigning back to back PL champs. I am one of those people who separates on-field from off-field in terms of how I judge a player, so frankly the cheating thing(while incredibly stupid b/c dear goddd is Cheryl hot) doesn't much matter to me.  "Buying" titles doesn't really matter to me either and I don't understand the argument, as everyone is "bought" unless you develop them from the youth team.  Were Arsenal's titles with Henry and Bergkamp bought? Yes, as are Man U's with Rooney, and Man City this year, and look abroad to teams like Madrid, PSG, etc. It's simply part of sports and has been for years.

to a certain degree you are right about being bought, but it is certainly in degrees.  bought means some rich owner took his money and built a team in a short period of time.  man united's core during their great runs occurred with many homegrown players - giggs, beckham, scholes, etc.  barca's incredible run occurred with its own homegrown players in messi, iniesta, xavi, fabregas, etc.  other teams were obscure and got a mega rich owner who cherry picked players to become good overnight.  chelsea and man city are at the top of the list.  they are like supporting the miami heat.  and the majority of their fans outside of their respective cities just jumped on for the ride.  how anyone can like chelsea is bizarre to me.  their players are aholes and they play a miserable brand of soccer.  it's negative soccer (which has nothing to do with the score, it's their defensive, park the bus style of play), which is also how england played in the euros.  horrible soccer to watch.  the complete opposite of spain.  i understand people jumping on the spain bandwagon.  they play the most technical style of soccer the sport has ever seen.  it's amazing to watch and anyone who knows how difficult it is to keep possession admires and respects what they have done.  likewise barcelona.  chelsea, not so much.

Oh dear god not the negative soccer argument again! Can't we all just get along while I tour the country with my European champion squad? :)
