Any thoughts on the fact that Zavaleta played CB against St. Louis? Apparently this isn't a new position for him (just at IU), but I'm surprised to see the move of our best goal scorer to a defensive position (understanding it's spring and might just be an experiment).

Anyone with more knowledge of the situation (wouldn't take much) have any thoughts?

as I have no contact with the program. But generally, playing CB is a sort of mirror-image of goal-scoring . . . you have to have excellent speed and toughness, and you have to understand how goals are scored to be highly effective at preventing them.

Really savvy CBs can also be terrific at initiating the offense, particularly counter-strikes.

No matter what I or any of the rest of us thinks, though, I fully trust this coaching staff to make the right call with Zaveleta.

Have seen EZ play back and think he has guaranteed next level skills there... I think it's a great move, and clearly reflects coaches' view on incoming forwards. I hope that pans out.
