1. IU's returning starting catcher from 2011 - transfered at the Chrismas break to Western Kentucky University (in his hometown of Bowling Green KY)
2. Even though the Hoosiers lost Dickerson to the draft, and Wilson and Sabourin to graduation and free agency - IU still has plenty of pop from both sides of the plate.
3. IU once again has some freshman that will look to early and often for defensive and offensive production.
4. IU has more overall team speed than recent years.
5. The average height of the 6 guys that pitched yesterday is 6'5"
6. One of the umpires I talked to yesterday after the practice went to HS with two of my former college teammates: Bogey and Cutler.
