It is a bummer that he is playing for a side that doesn't want to (or can't) spend money. He would be excellent for Liverpool but for their absurd spending on Carroll, Downing and Henderson, who right now like look three of the worst transfer buys in Liverpool history, with Carroll being perhaps the worst transfer ever. Robinho and Shrevchenko look like brilliant moves in comparison.
You could make a pretty good argument that after Dempsey, the best American export to England is Stuart Holden. His absence (along with Sturridge), has killed Bolton.
