Fischer won't stay in Big Ten
Former Indiana freshman Luke Fischer confirmed on his own twitter account tonight that he will not be transferring to another Big Ten program.
It was on Monday that Indiana coach Tom Crean confirmed that Fischer was leaving the Hoosier program.
"It is what it is, and you wish him the best," said Crean "We'll miss his potential. We'll miss him as a person. He did an outstanding job here, academically. He's an excellent young man. And we move right on."
Fischer had appeared in 13 games and averaged 2.8 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. In his final game as a Hoosier against Kennesaw State, Fischer scored a career high 10 points and blocked three shots.
"I want to thank coach Crean and the rest of the staff, Indiana University, and their fans for the opportunity they provided me," added Fischer on his twitter account this evening. "My family and I will be looking at all the options available to me and making a decision on my future plans."
