September 26, 2013Earlier this afternoon Indiana announced one player is out with injury and two other players coming off injuries are expected back this week for the start of official practice.
6-foot-11 center Luke Fischer will be sidelined for "a few weeks" because of a "sprained left shoulder" according to the release.
"Luke has made great strides and was playing with great confidence," said IU Coach Tom
Crean. "He was being aggressive in his pursuit for the basketball when it happened."
The Fischer news comes just three days after Indiana announced that another freshman, 6-foot-6 Troy Williams, would be out for a few weeks with a injury to his right hand.
Two Hoosiers return to full practice
There was some good news on the injury front today as the school also announced that veterans Austin Etherington and Peter Jurkin would be ready to participate in the team's full practice action that begins later this week.
Etherington has been out an extended period recovering from a fractured left patella and Jurkin has been battling a left leg issue since last season.
