The Peegs.com staff have been hard at work getting you ready for today's game. Here's a rundown of stories related to today's matchup over the past week working back from our latest coverage along with some coverage from Indiana's opponent's site on Rivals and our parent Yahoo Sports:
The Indiana Hoosiers will try to pick up their second Big Ten win of the season tomorrow afternoon when they host the Iowa Hawkeyes at Memorial Stadium. Peegs.com caught up with Tom Kakert from the Hawkeye Report to get the latest on an Iowa team that comes in with a record of 2-2 in the Big Ten and 4-4 overall.
No one is ignoring the general tire fire that Big Ten football has become, or the fact that the two best teams (Ohio State, Penn State) in the league's "Leaders Division" are banned from postseason play. This opens the door for someone, anyone to fill to void. Still when unusual headlines start appearing, you take note.
After back to back losses the Hawkeyes are looking to get back in the win column this weekend when they travel to Indiana. The Hawkeye Roundtable is back for their weekly look at the Iowa Football team, examining the Hawkeye defense, the play of Damon Bullock at running back, and we give our weekly predictions and picks to clicks.
Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson, as well assistant coaches Kevin Johns and Doug Mallory, met with the media earlier today and talked about a variety of different topics. Peegs.com was there and we have highlighted a few of the subjects that Wilson and his assistants touched on as the Hoosiers prepare to take on Iowa this Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
Watch what the Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson had to say to reporters today about the Hoosiers' win over Illinois this past weekend, as well as what he expects to see from Iowa on Saturday afternoon when the Hawkeyes come to Memorial Stadium. Also included are comments from co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Doug Mallory.
Coming off their first Big Ten win since 2010, the Indiana Football team is feeling pretty good about themselves heading into the match-up this weekend against the Hawkeyes. To learn more about what the Iowa Football team will be facing against the high scoring Hoosiers, we go Behind Enemy Lines with Matt Weaver from Peegs.com.
To say that the Hawkeye need a win this weekend is stating the obvious. Sitting at 4-4 overall and 2-2 in Big Ten play, Iowa needs at least two wins in their final four games to become bowl eligible. It all starts this weekend with a trip to Indiana to face a pesky group of Hoosiers. In our weekly Keys to Victory, we look at what Iowa needs to do to come home a winner on Saturday.
Earlier today Indiana assistant coach Mike Ekeler met with the media after the Hoosiers' Tuesday morning practice. The co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach talked about the performance of his defense on Saturday at Illinois, as well as what he expects to see from the Iowa offense this weekend when the Hawkeyes take on IU at Memorial Stadium.
