Bill Lynch is staying as Indiana football coach, at least that is the headline of top story on the front page of the Indiana Daily Student.

"I think contracts need to mean something again at Indiana University," Glass said to the student newspaper. "He's in the second year of a four-year contract ? I hope that and really think that coach Lynch will be very successful."

The Bloomington Herald-Times has a similar update now on their website with a few more comments from the Indiana A.D.

The Hoosier fan base is obviously down after Indiana let a 28-3 second quarter lead fall by the wayside in a one point loss at Northwestern on Saturday. The 4-4 Hoosier team has now lost four out of their last five games and have to travel this Saturday to play an unbeaten, seventh ranked Iowa team. Tough games against Wisconsin (5-2)? and at Penn State (7-1) follow the Iowa battle before the annual regular season finale against Purdue.

Is staying with Bill Lynch the right move for Indiana? Discuss the issue in the Indiana football forum.
