Week three draws to a close with hits and injuries
Just a little bit of everything occurred Friday in what surprisingly turned out to be an outdoor practice. Instead of avoiding the fairly strong winds and chilly conditions, the Beavers went and had a scrimmage that turned out to be one of the most animated in recent memory. Playing a step below game speed, they finally got to tackle for the first time in spring, with a lot of positives but also some disastrous ones.
While a backup emerged as a reliable signal caller, another backup might have to sit in the future due to an unfortunate injury. When fans couldn't have imagined things getting any loonier, one of the final plays of the day was the best, but also one of the most dangerous, plays this spring. Without further ado, here is what I saw as I froze my keyster off outside on the OSU practice fields:
