Texas junior DE likes Big 12 school

Rivals.com Football Recruiting When Arlington (Texas) Martin and Arlington (Texas) Sam Houston played on Friday night, there were eight current Division I commits on the field. That total included three four-star prospects in the class of 2011. However, it was a junior that was perhaps the most impressive player in Martin's 43-6 victory.
Defensive end Devonte Fields was active throughout the entire game. He ended the contest with six solo tackles and a sack but he was in the backfield almost every play, giving Rivals250 quarterback Jamal Turner fits. He even came in as a blocking tight end on offense as well. Schools have started to take notice of the 6-foot-4, 220-pound defender.
